All Fired Up: Firewalking and Footstomping Fundraiser

On Friday November 22nd the Nottingham Contemporary will be host to All Fired Up: an evening of live blues, folk and worldbeats music supporting Equation’s pioneering work against domestic abuse .

We  have organised a night of lively local talent headlined by Salmagundi, a seven-piece performing original music infused with a world of influences including ska, samba and tango. They’ll be supported by Three Minute Heist, who present a fresh, energetic and modern take on traditional blues in their new material. Opening the night will be Georgie Rose, an award-winning young singer-songwriter playing powerful blues, folk and mellow country.

An event highlight will be a mass sponsored firewalk at 9pm, when 30 intrepid Equation supporters – including local Nottingham City Councillors Nicola Heaton and Alex Norris – will brave a 20ft bed of hot coals to complete a toasty fundraising challenge. Cheering spectators are welcome! Raffle tickets with premium prizes will also be for sale, provided by Spotify, Boots, Currys and many local businesses.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with entry by donation (suggested £3). Accompanied children are welcome until 9.30pm.
