Reel Equality presents Beasts of the Southern Wild (12a) this month. Haunting and breath-taking, this dystopian fantasy about survival is set in a fictional, semi-submerged community in the southern USA, where pint-sized powerhouse Hushpuppy (age 6) and her father confront the chaos of the Katrina disaster with defiance and determination. We will be at Screen 22 for Louisiana-inspired Southern cocktails, mocktails and New Orleans King Cake before the film!
