Beyond Survival Support Group
Beyond Survival is free ten week course ran for women by women at Nottinghamshire Rape Crisis Centre. For women who have experienced rape, sexual abuse and or sexual violence.
Aims of the group: – To gain self acceptance, self assertion, build trust in self and in others, to experience more fulfilling lives and to meet fellow survivors and share experiences.
Start date 25/07/2014 Time 10am – 12noon
Nottinghamshire Rape Crisis Centre, 2nd floor of Nottingham Women’s Centre, 30 Chaucer street, Nottingham NG1 5LP
Course will involve processing of your own thoughts and feelings around rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence as well as small group and large group work. Sessions will be planned with exercises but there will also be plenty of space available for unstructured time.

Week 2 – Safety and Strength
Week 3 – The Culture of Abuse
Week 4 – Self Care
Week 5 and 6 – My Personal Story
Week 7 – Feedback – My Personal Story
Week 8 – Anger and Empowerment
Week 9 – Trust and Moving Forward
Week 10 – A Positive Ending
