Nelsons Solicitors, in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Domestic Violence Forum, are holding a free half day information session which will be of interest to agencies working with the public such as the Police, Social Workers, Midwives, Health Visitors, Domestic Violence Specialists and Housing Managers.  The information session will cover:

• Who will qualify for Legal Aid?

• Case Studies

This is an ideal opportunity to find out what the changes will mean for you and to ask any questions.

Note: Legal Aid is still available to those going through divorce and separation, children’s matters such as contact and residence, provided the domestic violence criteria is satisfied.  Cases involving injunctions, forced marriage, child abduction and care proceedings remain eligible for Legal Aid and are unaffected. Legal Aid for Mediation is still available for all children and family law disputes.
